The Preserve Apartments team wants to help you prepare for summer! Here are some helpful cleaning tips to get your Spring, Texas apartment sparkling clean:
1- Wash windows on a cloudy day: when it’s sunny, the cleaning solution can dry too fast and leave streaks.
2- Clean out the refrigerator: toss old food and clean the interior with two tablespoons of baking soda for every quart of warm water.
3- Replace your toilet brush and other often-used cleaning items.
4- Remove hard water stains from your faucet with a lemon. To clean hard water stains from a shower head, secure a plastic bag of white vinegar around it using a rubber band. Let it sit for one hour, remove and turn on water to flush.
5- Clean your sponge: wet it and microwave for 2 minutes. To keep a sponge dry, use a binder clip to stand it upright.
6- Spruce up your stainless steel: buff with a few drops of olive oil and a cloth.
7- Get rid of odors in your garbage disposal: run it with a cut-up lemon.
8- Clean out your closet: it’s time to store your bulky winter apparel and break out the warm weather clothing!
9- Use a window squeegee to easily remove pet hair from carpet.
10- The “top-down” method: start with the top of the room (ceiling fans) to the bottom (baseboards and floors) to avoid cleaning twice!
