The Woodlands Craft Beer and Music Festival June 26-28

The Woodlands Craft Beer and Music Festival, presented by MBOTW, will be held at Town Green Park in The Woodlands June 26-28.

The event will feature some of the area’s best food and dozens of the best craft beers from the state of Texas and all over the USA. Bands will perform all day and evening in a live music extravaganza. “This is a landmark inaugural event that we are proud to be presenting,” said Bob Milner, co-owner of Mercedes-Benz of The Woodlands. “We are honored to bring a new type of festival to the area where music lovers with discriminating tastes can savor food and drinks not typically served at other festivals or events.” The festival is produced by Global Scene Productions, which has – since it was founded in 1998 by Ted Widen, who still owns the company along with Montgomery resident Ken Monro – been a leader in creating and promoting entertaining events, including a series of craft beer events in other parts of the United States. Based on past successes, Monro expects thousands of area beer and music enthusiasts to attend the event.

The park is located at 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, along the banks of The Woodlands Waterway, between The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and the South Montgomery County Library. “Town Green Park includes a huge open space, named The Great Lawn, which extends all the way down to The Woodlands Waterway,” said Monro, describing the venue. “Just inside the entrance, our festivalgoers will enjoy a promenade showcasing more than 30 brewers, tented booths featuring excellent food from some of our finest local restaurants, and a large stage that will feature practically nonstop music from local and regional bands.”

Three types of admission tickets will be offered: music-only tickets, and two beer-sampling and music-ticket options. The festival encourages responsible drinking. Designated drivers will receive a discounted music-only ticket.
